Unda Ozolina leads InterregGov with extensive experience across the full cycle of cross-border cooperation — from implementing cooperation initiatives on the ground to leading international secretariats of cross-border cooperation programmes. Her background combines practical project implementation experience with leadership of international programme structures, providing valuable insight into the challenges and opportunities of cooperation governance.

With extensive experience working closely with programme authorities and stakeholders, she supports InterregGov in strengthening the implementation of Interreg Specific Objective 1 (ISO1), fostering better cooperation governance across Europe, and helping programmes deliver lasting cooperation results.

Ivana Djuranovic-Veselinov

Ivana Djuranovic-Veselinov is the Cross Border Cooperation Expert who will be dealing with Border Obstacles. Her background is a combination of hands-on experience in managing donor-funded and cross-border cooperation programmes with extensive expertise in institutional coordination, policy dialogue, economic development, and international partnerships. Her experience includes identifying and dealing with legal, administrative, economic and governance-related obstacles affecting cooperation and translating findings into practical recommendations, action plans, and cooperation mechanisms. 

Her professional experience is matched by a strong belief that the cooperation is the most effective path toward a more sustainable development and stronger communities.

Alicia Richert is the People-to-people Cooperation Expert. With over 12 years’ experience in cross-border cooperation as a project manager for citizen engagement initiatives under the Upper Rhine Interreg programme, she is keen to share her expertise with the wider Interreg community through this new initiative.

Her academic background in European affairs, as well as her belief in the European project, make her a committed and dedicated expert who is able to contribute both her practical experience from the field and her broader vision of what European territorial cooperation can bring to the European project.
